She doesn't wear shoes often and only wears thin thongs to school. She loves to feel natural objects (eg. rocks and grass) under her feet because they make her feel calm and at peace.

Shi-Li's parents died when she was little so she lives with her aunt and uncle but because they're always out she considers herself as living alone. She wa a loner at first but as her friends started to become a big part of her life she started to feel more and more at home in her town.
